THE MORNING ROUTINE

After watching an interview with Dr Rangan Chatterjee, he explained the importance of having a morning routine.

Having 10-30 minutes for yourself can help reduce stress levels and set you up for the day. A lack of a routine leaves exposure to building up micro stress doses ( a fancy way of saying small doses of stress) which can cause low tolerance levels to stress throughout your day.

Here are a few things you can do to become more chilled and zen…before the day actually begins.

CONNECT WITH GOD

Starting the day with a connection to God can instill profound peace that lasts all day. One preacher I particularly admire is Steven Furtick. His short YouTube videos, usually only 10-15 minutes long, are perfect for morning inspiration. Furtick delivers impactful messages on conquering negativity, trusting in God's plan wholeheartedly, and overcoming obstacles.

Meditation

Meditation offers a powerful way to soothe the soul and delve into breath-work. It provides a serene space to embrace stillness and explore the thoughts, feelings, and emotions that arise.

words of affirmation

It's crucial to affirm yourself at the start of each day. Speaking positive mantras to your subconscious mind is like wearing invisible armor. You can find plenty of YouTube videos to help you get started with this empowering practice.

A LIL BIT OF SWEAT…

Morning exercise is a total game-changer, triggering the release of endorphins and providing precious time for yourself to get your body moving and primed for the day ahead.

see you in the morning…

It is easy to wake up and go straight to the ‘gram’ but carving out specific ‘you’ time really can make a huge difference.

Whether you’re a mother that needs to do the school run or a uni student heading to campus for a 9am lecture, we all have so many demands required from us throughout the day - so why not start the day right? Start with you!
